Executive Director Update

Jada Bratton - New Executive Director

Parks Youth Ranch Board of Directors is pleased to announce Jada N. Bratton as the new Executive Director. Jada joined PYR as the Assistant Shelter Administrator in July 2015. In September 2016, she received her Child Care Administrator License from the State of Texas Health and Human Services Commission and was promoted to Shelter Administrator.

She attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX where she completed undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work.  Prior to working at Parks Youth Ranch, she served children and families in multiple capacities, including emergency disaster relief, intensive case management (bilingual), and refugee and asylee service delivery. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, tending to her garden, traveling, spending time outdoors, swimming, hiking, and practicing yoga.

Message from Shannan Stavinoha

Since June of 2018, I have had the honor of serving over 450 youth who have experienced abuse, neglect or experienced homelessness. Daily in this journey, the team at Parks Youth Ranch amazes me with their love for our kids and their mission to ensure that we have a positive impact on each youth whether they are with us for 2 days or 90 days. I am transitioning from my role as Executive Director of Parks Youth Ranch in mid-August.   

I am excited about the future of Parks Youth Ranch and the new ways we will be able to serve the youth who have experienced abuse and neglect or are experiencing homelessness in our community.  

I am so grateful for the team at PYR and the opportunity to work alongside you in this great effort.

Statement from the board of directors

Mrs. Stavinoha is transitioning from her role as Executive Director of Parks Youth Ranch to join the team at the George Foundation in mid-August. The Board of Parks Youth Ranch is grateful for the years of service and leadership Mrs. Stavinoha has given to serve the youth of our community and look forward to the continued collaboration and partnership with the George Foundation.
