Parks Youth Ranch Achieves National Accreditation

RICHMOND, TX. (August 27, 2021) – We are pleased to announce that Parks Youth Ranch, Inc. (“PYR”) has achieved national accreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation (COA).

Organizations pursue accreditation to demonstrate the implementation of best-practice standards in the field of human services. COA evaluated all aspects of PYR’s programs, services, management, and administration.

The process involved a detailed review and analysis of PYR’s administration, management, and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice. The standards driving accreditation ensure that services are well coordinated, culturally competent, evidence-based, outcomes-oriented, and provided by a skilled and supported workforce.

PYR, founded in 2009, was formed for the sole purpose of providing emergency shelter and life-changing services to at-risk and homeless youth ages 7 – 17.  As of today, PYR remains the only non-profit emergency shelter for youth in Fort Bend County.

Join us at Safari Texas on Saturday, October 2, 2021, for PYR’s annual gala, Cowboy Up, where we will be celebrating 10 years of providing a Home for Today and Hope for Tomorrow.  For more information about PYR, our gala, or ways you can get involved, visit www.parksyouthranch.org.
